The problem it solves
Stale or contradictory docs make support bots cite the wrong answer.
Public docs can be locally correct and still feed an AI support bot the wrong refund window or menu path — especially when two pages disagree, or an old page still states a policy that changed. A docs bot does not read your help center the way a teammate does. It retrieves fragments. If two pages disagree, it may invent a third number.
Hosting a bot does not fix the source. The toolkit targets a common upstream cause — conflicting or stale docs and buried conditions — with method files you run yourself on your own public docs.
What is a docs contradiction? A docs contradiction is two public pages that state different facts for the same question — two refund windows, two plan limits, or an old policy page left live next to the current one. A stale page is a contradiction with time.
Page A“Refunds are accepted within 14 days of purchase.”
Page B“You have 30 days to request a refund.”
“You have 21 days to request a refund.”
Anonymized pattern — not a named customer story. 21 does not appear on either page. The model averaged the conflict. The toolkit’s checklist and worked examples flag both quotes so you can ship one source-of-truth FAQ — so retrieval has one number, not two.
The failure is usually in the source, not the model
- Contradictions. Page A says 14 days. Page B says 30. The bot answers 21 — a number that exists on neither page.
- Stale vs current policy. An old page still states last year’s terms next to the current one. Retrieval cannot tell which is canonical, so the bot may cite the stale one.
- Buried conditions. “Pro includes X if Y” buried in a feature line. Retrieval keeps X and loses Y.
- Missing FAQs. Buyers ask about SSO, refunds, seats, or cancel flow. Your docs never say. The bot fills the hole.
What this is — and is not
A self-serve audit kit for one failure mode: help-center pages that disagree, go stale, or bury the condition that matters. Templates, examples, probes, and scorecard blanks — you run the method.
It is not a chatbot. Not a subscription. Not a promise of revenue. It is not a filled audit of your site — that is the $199 Async Report.
It does not claim to fix model behavior. It targets the source docs the model retrieves from.
What’s included
A ZIP of method files you run on your own docs.
Gumroad delivers the files. You run the pack locally — no upload of your docs is required for the pack itself.
README — the 30–60 minute flow
Open the scorecard, run the checklist on money and trust facts first, compare to the worked examples, probe the bot, capture results.
Scorecard
Scoring rubric and
scorecard.csvfor risk × contradiction × FAQ gap across your help center.Expanded checklist
Thicker than a free 7-step checklist: inventory how-to, help-center anti-patterns, and a docs maturity check.
Worked examples
Anonymized bad → good patterns — refund-window blend, stale vs current policy, phrasing-dependent answers. Examples, not client case studies.
Bot-probe prompts
Prompts and scenarios to interrogate a support bot on conflict questions, plus a promptfoo config to run them.
Templates
Notion / CSV capture sheets: inventory, money-facts inventory, audit log, FAQ draft template.
Optional tools
Sample link-check and docs-lint configs, included only with license notices copied.

Do I need an AI bot already?
No. It is useful before you wire Notion or GitBook into a bot — and after a wrong answer shows up.
Will this stop hallucinations?
It targets a common upstream cause: conflicting or stale docs and buried conditions. It does not claim to fix model behavior.

Can I share it with my team?
Yes, for one company / one help center. Don’t resell the ZIP.
What is the refund policy?
14-day refund if the ZIP won’t open or files are corrupt; if downloaded and used, still refund within 14 days once. Not a guarantee the pack will fix your bot.
Do you collect my docs?
No. Gumroad delivers the files and you run the pack locally. No upload is required for the pack itself.
How is this different from the $199 Async Report?
